Our Firm

Rawlings Wilson & Associates was started in 1955 when James Scott Rawlings and John E. Wilson joined their practices to form a partnership. The company became a professional corporation in 1980. We believe in the importance of providing personal attention to our clients throughout the duration of the project. Therefore we keep a high ratio of registered architects to support staff in our firm to ensure that there is never a lack of technical or management expertise on a project.

Our Firm’s Philosophy

We believe that the most important thing that we can do is listen to our clients. The better we understand the wants and needs of our clients, the more responsive our building designs can be to their requirements. Every project is unique, and we approach each one accordingly.

We also believe in moving the firm forward and staying current with advancements in building design, materials and practices. We encourage all of our employees to gain more professional knowledge throughout their careers. One area of importance to us is sustainable design. Members of our staff have obtained LEED certification and we have designed “green” buildings, with focus on systems and materials that benefit the client over many years. We continue to expand our knowledge base in this and other areas of critical importance to our profession.
